Former CRTV GM, Ahmadou Valmouke thrown in Kondengui prison.

Ahmadou Valmouke has been sent to Kondengui prison, reports reached us late Friday. The former CRTV general manager had been sacked and replaced by veteran journalist Charles Ndongo in late June 2016. This move raised eyebrows as to the fate of the accused as he was said to be involved in money laundering with another former CRTV boss, Prof. Gervais Mendo Ze.

The latter had been sent to prison on embezzlement charges and is joined by Valmouke who joins the myriad of top government ranking officials in the highly feared Kondengui prison in Yaounde. Fear and panic has gripped most ministers who are cleaning their closets to avoid the same fate.

Cameroon musician Achaley "Starboy" is dead

Cameroon musician Achaley is dead. He died died this morning of liver cancer at the Limbe general hospital. He has suffered with a liver cancer, the disease which 'claimed the singer/songwriter's life'. Achaley was the 1st winner of Cameroon talent competition "Star de demain" 2006/07. He passed away at the aged 30 after living with the liver disease for more than 3 years.

Nonetheless, his death comes as a shock to most Cameroonians who were used to his sweet voice and gentle nature. Most fans cannot believe this story, including his mother-like aunty Colette Bovelette who said it was a “complete surprise”.

Months before his death, Achaley released his last album "Ebolo" which has been hitting the air waves, on trace Tv and all other tv channels in Cameroon. Achaley a graduate from the university Buea, released his first album feeling insecure which was a hit song in Cameroon. I am proud to say I was part of the making of this song, and part of his music career. He will forever be the best vocalist Cameroon has ever had in his time.

Cameroonian female goalkeeper dies during training session

Jeanine Christelle played for Femina Stars of Ebolowa, Cameroon.

The goalkeeper of a Cameroonian women's side has died after collapsing during a warm-up session, the Cameroon Football Federation has said.

Jeanine Christelle Djomnang, 26, became ill before a Femina Stars Ebolowa match in southern Cameroon on Sunday, and died on her way to hospital. The federation says initial reports suggest she died of a heart attack but it is now awaiting a medical report. It comes days after Cameroon player Patrick Ekeng died in Romania.

Djomnang complained of chest pains as she prepared to take on Louves MINPROFF Yaounde in the Cameroon elite league and was taken to hospital. Cameroon's African Women Footballer of the Year Gaelle Enganamouit, who now plays in Sweden, was one of the first to react to the news.

"It's with sadness that I have learnt of the death of my team-mate Djomnang Jeanine Christelle of Femina Stars Ebolowa, may her soul rest in peace," she wrote on social media.

On Friday, it was confirmed that Dinamo Bucharest and Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng had died aged 26 of a suspected heart attack after collapsing on the pitch. The 26-year-old fell to the floor in the 70th minute of a televised Romanian league match between Dinamo and Viitorul. He died later in hospital.

A book of condolence has been opened at the Cameroon Football Federation headquarters for both Ekeng and Djomanang. We with the family God's blessings during this period.
